The distance between inns can vary somewhat based on weather conditions. Generally between 20-25 miles over sometimes rough terrain are covered daily. Sunday: Arrive at the Kedron Valley Inn during the afternoon and meet your host before dinner. The Kedron is an 1828 New England inn with king sleigh beds, queen canopy beds, award-winning cuisine and a private swimming lake with two white-sand beaches. Voted "Inn of the Year" by inn-goers. Then ride through the beautiful countryside to Echo Lake Inn, located in Vermont's beautiful lakes region, tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Tyson. For summer visitors, the Inn offers tennis, pool and boating on Echo Lake. Tuesday: explore past centuries-old stone fences through the woods of Ludlow to Wyman Falls Road to the village of Chester where the horses will stay at a paddock at Silver and Leather Tack Shop. A few steps down the street to the elegant, yet comfortable country inn located on the Village Green is the Fullerton Inn (formerly The Inn at Long Last). Wednesday: Explore the woods, following single-tract trails through the smallest town in Vermont (Baltimore) to the Inn at Weathersfield. The Inn, built in 1792 as a stagecoach stop, has been a haven to travelers for over two hundred years. Thursday: Riding through an army corp of engineers flood plain across the Black River to tranquil farmlands, wooded hillside trails, country dirt roads, stone fences and pre-colonial ruins can be seen along the ride to the Kedron Valley Inn.
