Inn-to-Inn Riding

Paul Kendall riding ''Sprint''
| Kedron Valley Stables Mini Inn-to-Inn Ride Due to the mounting interest in riding from one country inn to another we have been able to arrange a few more for the 2008 schedule season. The distance between inns can vary somewhat based on weather conditions, but generally 20 to 25 miles will be covered on daily (approximately 5 1/2 hours in the saddle) Riders need to be of intermediate to advanced riding ability. Sunday: Arrive at the Kedron Valley Inn late afternoon and meet your host/guide before dinner, which is served at 7:30 p.m. Kedron Valley Inn is an 1828 New England Inn with queen canopy beds, heirloom quilts, award-winning cuisine and private swimming lake with two white-sand beaches. Voted "Inn of the Year" by inn-goers. A/C dining patio with extensive flower gardens. Monday: After a hearty breakfast, riders are introduced to their horses. Then ride through the beautiful countryside to Echo Lake Inn, which is located in Vermont’s beautiful lakes region tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Tyson. - A picnic trail lunch will be served at a picturesque spot along the way and will allow you time for relaxation before mounting up for the afternoon ride to the inn. Tuesday: After another country breakfast, we will take a shorter route back to South Woodstock. Be assured this route will have as many spectacular views, riding through tranquil farmlands, wooded hillside trails, country roads, stone fences and precolonial ruins. Again, a picnic trail lunch will be served on the trail with time to relax before continuing the ride back to the stables for a mid- to-late-afternoon departure home. ~ Minimum 3 - Maximum 6 ~
